Montagna Amica is a family-run lodge and restaurant in the centre of Pescopennataro, in Alto Molise, which its own site states was opened in 2003 at 1,250 metres inside what it calls the largest silver fir forest in Italy. It is not a working farm but a village stay of the kind Podere also records: guests are put up in four named rooms, each with its own bathroom, and the same building holds a restaurant serving Molisano dishes built around truffle, mushrooms and local cheese. Its own site advertises quad, snowmobile, horse-riding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trips from the property, and offers packages for associations and groups as well as ordinary bed and breakfast stays. No season of closure is stated; the site markets both summer and winter stays without naming months it is shut, and no per-night room rate is published, only prices for specific packaged events.
