Agriturismo without a car: check the last mile
Published
A railway station near an agriturismo is a starting point, not a complete arrival plan. Before booking, establish how you will travel from the station to the farm, and back again.
Our Register records farm and village stays with direct contact. It does not currently certify any Entry as suitable for arrival without a car. Found means solid web evidence without an Owner reply; Confirmed means the Owner has replied to us. Neither label certifies transport arrangements.
What a station name leaves unanswered
Agriturismo I Mille Ulivi names Trevi as its nearest railway station on its own directions page. The retrieved page does not establish a station pickup, a station-to-farm bus or a safe walking route.
The same page mentions an approach of “800 mtr” after reaching the village in its driving instructions. That is not a published distance from Trevi station. The farm also warns against unpaved approaches and directs arrivals to the asphalt road. Asphalt alone tells you nothing about pavements, crossings or suitability with luggage.
These website details were retrieved on 30 October 2026. We have not tested the journey or received transport confirmation from the Owner.
Settle the last leg before paying
Ask the Owner which station they recommend for your travel date. A nearest station is not necessarily the most practical interchange.
Then ask for the exact onward arrangement. If pickup is available, establish who provides it, where to meet, the price, booking notice and luggage capacity. Ask what happens if the train is late.
If a bus is proposed, get the operator, route and exact stop. Check the operator’s timetable for your date and day of the week. Do not assume a service runs on Sundays because it runs on weekdays.
If you intend to walk, ask about the actual route, road crossings, gradients and stretches without a pavement. Explain your bags and any mobility needs. A map distance cannot answer those questions by itself.
Agree the return journey too. Arrival is not solved if you cannot reach the station for your departure.
Arrival is different from a whole stay
Getting to the farm does not establish that you can manage several days there without a car. Ask about meals on your dates, nearby food shops and transport for any planned outings.
Do not assume breakfast, dinner or a lift is included because the place calls itself an agriturismo. Our definition guide explains what that name does and does not establish.
A short enquiry to copy
English:
“We plan to arrive without a car on __ and leave on __. Which station do you recommend? Can we arrange the onward and return journeys in advance? Please confirm the cost, meeting point, luggage allowance and arrangements for a delayed train.
Are meals available during our stay?”
Italian:
“Vorremmo arrivare senza auto il __ e ripartire il __. Quale stazione ci consigliate? È possibile organizzare in anticipo il viaggio dalla stazione e quello di ritorno? Potete confermare costo, punto d’incontro, bagagli ammessi e cosa succede se il treno è in ritardo?
Durante il soggiorno sono disponibili i pasti?”
