Agriturismo Le Macchie Alte

Agriturismo Le Macchie Alte is a 420-hectare organic estate at Loc. Le Macchie Alte, Montemerano, in the comune of Manciano. It grows ancient grains, cereals, olives, fodder and old varieties of fruit, and mills its own flour on a stone mill. Maremmana cattle, Cinta Senese pigs, game and poultry are kept outdoors. Three stone farmhouses, one from the early 1500s and two from the early 1900s, hold 12 rooms, each with a private bathroom. The kitchen serves a fixed five-course menu, and the whole farm is certified organic by ICEA.
