Umbria farm stays you cannot book online
Umbria has no coast and no motorway spine through its hills. The land works olive, wine, grain, lentils and truffle, and the working farms sit above towns like Montefalco, Spello, Norcia and Todi.
Perugia has a small airport; Rome and Florence are the usual arrival points, two to three hours by car. The olive harvest runs late October into November, which is when farms are busiest and rooms are cheapest. August is hot and the towns are full.
